Child birth seemed like a breeze compared to the torture of my sinuses! Let me tell you...I have had 10 pound babies...so that is saying something!
Anyhoo...I went to the doctor and she said I had a real nasty case of sinusitis.   Being the ever determined herbal mama, I came home and made myself some special Oil for the sinuses! I knew that I needed to use Essential oils that were stimulating and clearing, as well as antiseptic if I was going to effectively treat my sinus infection.  
So, old Mother Hubbard (er, me) went to her cupboard of Therapeutic Oils and took out: Peppermint essential oil, Eucalyptus essential oil, Tea Tree essential oil, Lavender essential oil, Spearmint essential oil, along with wintergreen alcohol and a few other secret ingredients that I knew would work!   I then took a tissue, tilted the bottle to get some on it and inhaled deeply! It opened up my nasal passages immediately! I was so THANKFUL for the immediate relief! It not only cleared my sinuses, I swear it cleared my entire head!   You can also inhale the smell right from the bottle (shhh..I ended up doing this as it was quicker and more convenient for me. I even put one in my purse!)
Some of my children had stuffy noses from the "dryness" that comes with having heat on in the winter and this oil worked WONDERS! Especially at night time when they are trying to fall asleep and whining "my nose is stuffy..I can't sleep!" Inhaling this oil has stopped the whining (do I hear other mama's shouting AMEN?!)
It is really great for allergies, too! Give it a try...It really works!
