My son was a premie and I had to travel a long way from home because He was having a never before surgery by Dr Castanada a world renowned surgeon for the heart who worked at Boston Children’s and in Finland both 6 months a year . I slept in the hallway and had five bucks for my two week journey and I hadn’t ate for a couple days. A nurse came over and said I noticed you never leave “are you hungry?” I was and she called for the hospital social worker who made a few calls and I received a voucher for 20 dollars and in 1982 that was a lot of help and was told if I needed more to contact her. I stretched it out but was greatful for the help I received but they didn’t tell me who helped. When I found this ministry I began to support it because I never forgot the kindness and love that I was given 41 years ago. For me it’s a win -win situation. I get great gifts for my church family and friends and myself. I suspect they also prayed for me as that is the Catholic faith and way. I’ve been Catholic for five years now. I will continue to support and highly encourage you to join me in support and consider the lifetime Mass that is available and if it sounds pricey it’s really not. 200 divided by 5 dollars the cost of a single Mass in most parishes is 40. In the five years I’ve spent that at least in the last 5 years. Prayers in the mass if you understand it is priceless and all goes to help people like me at many times in my life. I need to tell you the quality of everything I’ve purchased is awesome but I’ve bought 2 rosaries at 100 dollars and I bought the second after I seen how special and gorgeous they were. Not a one is the same. I suspect they were prayed over because the person they were bought for it was their favorite color. It’s the little things like that I think is awesome.
