Dear family,

God is not a genie in a bottle.

I know several folks who have said..
"Hey, I prayed a rosary for a week straight and nothin'!"

I know as humans we can easily fall into that mentality.

Somebody recently asked me about John 14:13, where it says..."I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the father may be glorified in the son."

Well that particular person was misinterpreting the promises of God for material things.

Yes, we need our temporal needs met, but if we think there's a special magical formula...there's not..then we start to lean towards superstition.

We can't just grab scripture and interpret it in a way that suits us. There's a real danger in that.

This is why we are so blessed to have Holy Mother Church holding our hand and helping us.
