URGENT- Can You Spare a Prayer?

URGENT- Can You Spare a Prayer?

+JMJ

Dear family,

Monday, we were touched by what felt like a miracle — a blessing beyond measure.

Our Pediatric Mission received the largest donation in its history, allowing us, for the very first time, to meet every single need on the Pediatric Mission list. . The joy was indescribable...I could finally help all the children and families and not have to put them on the waiting list. . We rushed to set up Masses in honor of this incredible act of kindness. .

But Tuesday morning, everything changed and I shed copious tears.

As my oldest son was handling the emails, he found a message from the donor.

In it, he shared that his donation had been made without his wife’s knowledge, and he asked us not to deposit the check. . But by then, it was too late; we had already done so. . A stop payment was put on the check, and the fees are more than we could ever have anticipated. .

We are now facing an urgent and overwhelming need to raise a large amount (double figures, no less!) of money to cover Pediatric Missions costs and to ensure that we don’t have to interrupt the care and support we have already sent out to these families who rely on us.

The thought of asking them to return what they have already received is unbearable to me...and I refuse to do it. .

So, with a heavy heart, I am reaching out to you.

The Pediatric Mission desperately needs your help, or it will not survive this blow.

If you can find it in your heart to help through this crisis, please head HERE.

Every single dollar makes a difference for the children and families who are counting on us in their darkest hours

  • Matthew 25:31-40

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, “I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (NIV)

    ---HELP IF YOU CAN----

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!

From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
